COME LIVE AND LEARN NEAR THE BEACH IN BEAUTIFUL CALIFORNIA...

Educational Consortium Institute (ECI) is a California nonprofit educational organization founded to provide opportunities for students ages 14 to 18 from around the world to advance their English skills and to experience American culture in a safe and nurturing environment.

Students studying with ECI have dramatically improved their English language skills and have gone on to prestigious universities and careers.

ECI offers several programs to meet the needs and circumstances of most students who want to study English in the United States, including providing sponsorship and guardianship for international students.

• Summer English Intensive:  Available from the middle of June to the middle of August, this program is for serious students who want to focus on improving their reading, writing, speaking and TOEFL score.  Participants reside in the school dormitories of Monterey Bay Academy, and attend classes and educational outings from early morning through the afternoon, Monday through Friday.  It is offered for 4 or 8 week sessions.

• Private Schools (F-1 visa and J-1 visa):  Students may enroll at anytime throughout the year at Monterey Bay Academy and can enter Monte Vista Christian High School in August and January at the semester break.  Both schools are private, co-educational, college-preparatory, Christian high schools located on the central coast of California.  Program participants may study from one semester to four years.  At Monterey Bay Academy students live on campus in school dormitories, while students at Monte Vista Christian live with a host family near the school.  ECI has just added some new high schools and a middle school for younger students.

• Public Schools (F-1 visa and J-1 visa):  Students may attend many public schools in California on both the F-1 visa and the J-1 visa.  ECI can place J-1 visa students any where in California.    There are very few public schools that will accept students on an F-1 visa; but ECI can secure an F-1 visa for students, while acting as their sponsor.  ECI can only place F-1 students who already have made arrangements for a host family and the host family must live within the school district boundaries of an I-20 issuing public school.  Please contact our office for information about attending public school on an F-1 visa.
